Thailand MotoGP

 

Day 1: Your Chiang Mai airport transfer will take you directly to our joining hotel, ready for our start tomorrow. Today, you’ll meet your crew and riding companions, join the tour briefing, pick up your bike, and enjoy a fantastic welcome dinner.
Day 2: Today's route takes us through the charming village of Mae Wang, known for its elephant camps, on our way to Mae Sariang. We’ll head up to Doi Inthanon National Park, visit Thailand’s tallest peak, cross the Bo Kaeo Mountain range, and then descend into the Indian Ocean basin for our overnight stay by the Yuam River.
Day 3: After an early morning visit to the local market, where we’ll participate in the ancient Buddhist tradition of giving alms to monks, we hit the road for Mae Sot, the primary border crossing into Myanmar. Along the way, we’ll encounter traditional hill tribes, visit the border town of Salawin River, and pass by the thought-provoking Maela Refugee Camp.
Day 4: We head for the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Sukhothai today on a highly enjoyable and scenic mountainous route. We’ll stop for lunch by the Ping River in Tak and arrive in Sukhothai with time to explore the site’s ruins and temples or unwind at the resort’s spa and pool bar.
Day 5: Our longest ride today, roughly 410 km, takes us towards Buriram, likely encountering fellow motorcycle racing fans on our way to our lakeside resort in Pak Chong in the hills of the Dong Phaya Yen Mountains. Pak Chong offers a variety of cafés and attractions and is the gateway to the Khao Yai National Park.
Day 6: Today, we head east toward Buriram, traveling through the valley regions near Khao Yai National Park and around the spectacular Lam Phra Phloeng Reservoir. We’ll rumble into Buriram on Highway 24 and to our accommodation, located about 40 km from the Chang International Circuit. This will be our base for the next three nights.
Day 7: We have the option to ride or take a private van to experience the excitement of qualifying and Saturday’s thrilling Sprint Race. We’ll enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the Chang International Circuit from the comfort of our VIP Grandstand seating along the start/finish straight, which offers spectacular views of all the action.
Day 8: Race Day! We’ll head to the circuit early to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the pre-race excitement as we prepare for an unforgettable day of thrilling racing. From our VIP Grandstand position, we’ll cheer on our favourite riders in the MotoGP, Moto2, and Moto3 classes.
Day 9: Today, we switch from spectators to riders as we head north to Khon Kaen and into more scenic areas favoured by motorcyclists for its excellent roads. Located in the heart of Isan, Khon Kaen serves as the commercial and political centre of the region and is renowned for its high-quality silk.
Day 10: We leave the cityscape behind and continue north, skirting around the towns of Udon Thani and Nong Khai before reaching the mighty Mekong River. We’ll then ride to Chiang Khan, where we’ll spend the night in this charming village by the river.
Day 11: An early start today as we ride along the Thai–Lao border. We’ll stop for lunch at Na Haeo village as we make our way to the Nan River on a route that takes us along scenic and winding mountain roads, including Road 1243, famously known as ‘the road to nowhere.’
Day 12: Through valley and dale today, we leave Nan and head to our destination in Chiang Mai. On this final day of riding, we will visit Phayao for lunch and pass through fascinating local villages as we travel along some of the best mountainous biking roads Thailand has to offer.
Departure day: Spend some time enjoying the handicrafts of Chiang Mai or return home, the choice is yours
