Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Thailand! Upon arrival into Bangkok, you'll be transferred to the historic riverside town of Kanchanaburi, famous for the Bridge over the River Kwai and its fascinating WWII history. After settling into our hotel, we'll meet for a welcome briefing and group dinner, providing the perfect opportunity to meet your fellow travellers before the adventure begins.
Day 2:This morning we leave Bangkok and take a transfer west to the historic town of Kanchanaburi. Best known for the Bridge over the River Kwai and the Burma Railway, the region played a significant role during World War II.
Day 3: Today we explore Kanchanaburi’s spectacular countryside, visiting Krasae Cave and the historic Death Railway before continuing to Hellfire Pass and Sai Yok Noi Waterfall. We travel along the famous Death Railway, visit the Hellfire Pass Memorial and Kanchanaburi War Cemetery before settling in for the evening. We return to Kanchanaburi for dinner before beginning our journey south tomorrow.
Day 4:Our motorcycle adventure begins as we leave Kanchanaburi and ride through rural Thailand, passing farmland, limestone hills and traditional villages. Along the way we stop at the Giant Rain Tree and the Chang Hua Man Royal Project before arriving in the popular seaside town of Hua Hin. There's time to stroll the waterfront or visit the lively night markets.
Day 5:Today's ride follows Thailand's Gulf Coast on easy, flowing roads through fishing villages, coconut plantations and quiet coastal communities. A stop at the impressive Wat Tang Sai temple provides sweeping views over the coastline before we continue south to Chumphon, where we spend the night overlooking the Gulf of Thailand.
Day 6:Continuing south, we follow the coast through peaceful countryside and rubber plantations with regular stops along the way. After lunch we arrive at the relaxed beach town of Khanom, known for its long sandy beaches and laid-back atmosphere. If we're lucky, we may even spot the rare pink dolphins found in the waters offshore.
Day 7:Today's ride continues along one of Southern Thailand's most enjoyable coastal routes. We visit a local chocolate factory before riding to the historic port city of Songkhla. This evening there's time to wander the streets of Songkhla Old Town, where Thai, Chinese and Malay influences combine to create one of the country's most interesting heritage precincts.
Day 8:Leaving the coast behind, we head inland through rubber plantations and rolling countryside towards Thailand's southern border. As we near Malaysia, the region's Malay-Muslim heritage becomes increasingly evident. Our destination is Betong, a lively border town where Thai and Malaysian cultures meet.
Day 9: After crossing into Malaysia, the road climbs steadily into the Cameron Highlands. Cooler temperatures, flowing mountain roads and rolling tea plantations make this one of the best riding days of the tour. Originally developed as a British hill station, the Cameron Highlands remains one of Malaysia's most scenic regions.
Day 10: Descending from the highlands, we continue south to Malaysia's vibrant capital, Kuala Lumpur. This modern city offers an interesting blend of cultures, historic neighbourhoods and impressive architecture, including the iconic Petronas Twin Towers. The afternoon is free to explore before the excitement of the MotoGP weekend begins.
Day 11:Today we head to the Sepang International Circuit for the opening day of the Malaysian MotoGP. Watch the world's best riders battle through qualifying before enjoying the fast-paced MotoGP Sprint Race. Between sessions there's plenty of time to explore the fan displays, merchandise stalls and soak up the atmosphere at one of the world's premier motorcycle racing events.
Day 12:Race day has arrived! Return to Sepang International Circuit to enjoy a full day of racing, including Moto3, Moto2 and the feature MotoGP race. The incredible atmosphere and world-class competition make this a highlight of the tour before we return to Kuala Lumpur for our final night in the city.
Day 13:Today's ride takes us north to George Town on Penang Island. A UNESCO World Heritage city, George Town is renowned for its colonial architecture, colourful street art and exceptional food. The evening is free to explore the city's lively streets, waterfront and famous local restaurants.
Day 14:Crossing back into Thailand, we continue through quiet countryside to the coastal province of Satun. Our overnight stop at Pak Nam offers a relaxed beachfront setting, making it the perfect place to unwind after another enjoyable day in the saddle.
Day 15:Following Thailand's beautiful Andaman Coast, today's ride passes limestone cliffs, tropical forests and small coastal communities before arriving at Ao Nang Beach in Krabi. The remainder of the afternoon is free to relax by the beach or explore the town.
Day 16:Our final riding day takes us to Thailand's largest island. Crossing the Sarasin Bridge, we arrive in Phuket before making our way to Patong Beach. This evening we celebrate the journey with a farewell dinner and reflect on an unforgettable ride through Thailand and Malaysia.
