This one-day workshop-based Adventure Maintenance course will give you the skills, knowledge and confidence to carry out emergency repairs to keep you and your bike on the move. The course has been created by Dakar race veteran Simon Pavey and his team of experienced instructors and is suitable for riders of any make of machine. You can be sure you are getting all the tips and tricks, hard-won experience and inside knowledge that the team has earned through years of riding, racing and crossing continents on adventure bikes. You’ll leave with a better understanding of your bike and how it works, allowing you to solve common mechanical issues on the road.

The emphasis of Adventure Maintenance is ‘hands on’, learning through practical sessions and on-bike instruction, so be prepared to get your hands dirty.
What does Adventure Maintenance Cover?
• Checking oil and fluid levels
• Repairing oil and fuel leaks
• Dealing with water crossings – and what to do if they go wrong
• Replacing brake pads and components
• Fixing punctures
• How to jump start a bike
• Preparation and common preventative tips you may need for travelling
• Bike set-up, including controls and suspension

Off Road Skills Adventure Maintenance is open to anyone who is booked on the Off Road Skills course and/or The Australian Adventure Ride but spaces are very limited.
This course is aimed at giving you enough basic skills to get you out of trouble in the field. It is not a replacement for your normal bike service routine or essential repairs.
How much?
The course costs AU$575, this price includes use of Off Road Skills tools and equipment, accommodation and dinner for the Thursday night before the course, breakfast, lunch and refreshments on the day of the course. This price is for twin share accommodation, a supplement of AU$75 is charged if you would like a single room.
Please note: it does not include personal motorcycle or accident insurance, evening drinks, or any additional meals or drinks.If you are not bringing your own bike, a Bike Round Oz motorcycle can be supplied for a small fee.
