On The Road – True North Alaska (Pt. 1) Back to News List

Not one, not two, but THREE of the core team from Compass HQ here in Melbourne Australia are currently out on the highways and byways of Alaska in the USA – and they’re having the absolute time of their lives.

Ben (Compass Director) had this to report from the first few days:

It’s been a long 820 days since our last adventure but at last we are riding again.

It’s Day 1 of our True North Alaska Tour and we couldn’t be more excited. It’s a beautiful sunny day here in Anchorage with an expected top of 21 degrees – we could not have asked for a better day, the backdrop is breathtaking and we have a great bunch of people to embark on our first tour back.

Alaska is a magnificent place for a motorcycle adventure. The largest state in the USA and twice the size of Texas (the next largest state). It’s known for its diverse terrain of open spaces mountains and forests, with abundant wildlife and many small towns. We actually get to have the unique experience of travelling well into the arctic circle.

It is shaping up as a great tour so look out for our updates over the next 3 weeks.

They only just left last Tuesday, so we’ll have more reports from the road for you soon!

Alaska has a well-deserved reputation as perhaps THE greatest wilderness of North America. If you’ve never been, this is one place you have to see for yourself – find out the details of our True North Alaska Tour here. Hopefully you yourself will be on the road with us next time!
