New Road of Bones Route for 2014 Back to News List

With the BMW Days over Mick is now researching a new and improved route through Europe that will form a very small part of our classic London to Magadan Road of Bones Expedition for 2014.

Mick has just ridden the incredible Grossglockner in Austria, a landscape of utterly stunning beauty through the Alps. With 45kms of twisties and road gradients of up to 24 degrees, this is some serious mountain riding action. The Grossglockner is renown as one of the very finest rides in Europe and Mick has found a hotel in Heiligenblut, situated at a ridiculously beautiful location that overlooks a stunning Alpine Valley with the snow capped Grossglockner at the valley’s end.

What better way to end a day off than having a Steigel and schnitzel at one of the many superb restaurants in Heiligenblut, again with a billion dollar view.

As mentioned we are re-writing the European section of the Road of Bones to further improve what is already an outstanding expedition, this just makes it better and as a past client and friend Joe says “everything needs a haircut every now and then”.

Mick is now making a dash from Austria to Calais, France before riding east again further researching a new improved route, enjoy the photos.
