Compass Expeditions Crew Training Back to News List

June 2013 – Compass Expeditions Motorcycle Tours cover the globe and that requires good capable crew and ride leaders who work well together, are mechanically able, knowledgeable in first aid, confident and, probably most importantly, have a good sense of humour. It is a tough job but definitely has its rewards and many of our clients return time and again for more South America motorbike adventures, rides through Cambodia, Africa Motorcycle Tours or one of the longer Motorbike Expeditions such as the Cairo to Capetown or the London to Magadan tour. A lot of that comes down to our great crew and with that at the forefront of their minds, Jerry and Mick have just arrived in Brazil for two weeks of intensive training of new staff for our South American motorcycle tours.
Mick couldn’t think of a better place than Brazil to hold this training workshop seeing as it is a marked contrast to the weather back in southern Australia at the moment.
Compass Expeditions has been blessed with some incredible crew over its last 6 years and we are continually trying to train and improve the quality of services provided by our crew, they are the face of Compass!
After the 2 week training workshop the successful applicants will then spend some more weeks on the road participating in an actual tour with further on the road training from Jerry and gaining real time experience before continuing on their own.
Once again we seem to have some great applicants and the decision of who has what it takes to join Compass Expeditions as our crew will be a tough one. We’re looking forward to having the new members join us for the remainder of 2013 and beyond.
