Compass Expeditions at BMW Motorrad Days 2013 Back to News List

We have just wrapped up another hugely successful event at the incredible BMW Motorrad Days 2013 in the stunning Bavarian town of Garmisch – Partenkirchen, Germany. An estimated 35,000 BMW riders attended this 3 day event which is the biggest BMW rally on earth.
We were very pleased with the interest in our tours from people from all over the world and received a huge amount of interest for our newest tour, the 38 day Europe to the Mongol Steppe ride which will kick off from the BMW Days in 2014. This tour was launched over the weekend.
We were also pleased to greet our clients before they departed for our 18 day East meets West tour that begins in Garmisch and ends in Göcek, Turkey.
It was also good to spend time with a fellow Aussie and world Superbike champion Troy Corser who attended the weekend.
The streets were alive with all things BMW, the beer flowed freely from 8AM onwards!!! The worlds greatest stunt rider, Chris Pfeiffer, kept the crowds gasping with his unnatural talents that include riding a bike backwards and getting a fully loaded R1200 almost vertical, amongst a plethora of other tricks on a variety of BMW bikes.
Our Benelux and German sales reps Dirk & Rasmus kept the clients and interested people plied with local beer from the worlds oldest continually operating brewery and kept us all well fed with 18 inch long Bratwursts, when in Germany!!
This is one amazing weekend and we look forward to more of the same in 2014 and being able to send the riders off from here on our superb new ride through Europe, into Russia and onto Mongolia on the Europe to the Mongol Steppe tour. See you in Bavaria in 2014!
